Endings.
I offered to spread my wings and bring down the stars for you, but you laughed and plucked them down yourself, feeding them to me one by one.
You were my sky. I loved you. I will always love you.
I can't go back, no matter how much I wish I could. I can only go on. All of us can only go on. No matter how deep our despair, things won't stop for it. No matter how crushing the anguish, we can't wallow in the moment, for it passes with each subsequent one. There is no if, only is. And the is is all around me. I would drown in it if I could, but I may not.
No matter how much we feel unable to take it anymore, we can't go back. We can't stop. All we can do is go forward, but now your path has ended, leaving mine to carry on.
Goodbye, my love. Perhaps we'll mingle once more, in eternity.

I bought an Xbox. First game system I've ever bought.. Funny, that.
Of all the things I could post about, this is really the least interesting and thus the one that gets posted about. My 'gamer tag' is 'Sasya Foxy', for the record. Whatever that means. :>
Otherwise.. just kinda hungry at the moment.
Mm.

This is something people really should learn at a young age..
Why do so many people utterly lack any understanding of how to offer criticism?
Here are some rudimentary tips:
- If someone asks your opinion on a work in progress, don't expect a finished product. Understand how things are often worked from a rough, and how critique is often requested of 'what is there' rather than 'what should be there'.
For example, if someone says "The head's a little misshapen and I have the anatomy wrong on the rabbit, but I wanted your opinion on the overall subject matter," don't just start launching negative comments about the anatomy on the rabbit, or the misshapen head. If someone says, "My hand is getting really tired, so don't mind the rhythm- it's pretty rough." the absolute last thing out of your mouth at the end should be "Well, you need to work on your rhythm, and there were some missed notes in there." Augh.
- Try to be positive, but realistic. If nothing about the subject appeals to you, or if it's too rough for you to appreciate in any way, say so. Don't make some snide platitudes like "It's a start," or "It's getting there," or the commonly heard "Don't quit your day job." Chances are, one way or another, someone's put a lot of thought into what they're asking an opinion on, and they will be quite hurt if you blow them off. If you can find something honest and positive to say, make sure to emphasize it. "Well, your skating needs a bit of work, but you're doing great along the boards, and your positioning is fantastic."
- Sometimes people need support in things more than they need to be eviscerated by an editorial review. I watch people all the time try to use any opportunity they can find to rip something and someone apart, almost as if they feel they'll boost themselves by doing so, or impress someone with their knowledge of the subject.
- Don't be a jaded prick. Just because artists that once would have been considered 'great' are a dime a dozen these days doesn't mean that Joe Average who is happily drawing stick figures needs to be ripped apart by some old vulture for the lack of quality.
- Harsh criticism doesn't help people to improve. It tends to make them give up. And if you really think people are better off because you made them give up on something they weren't immediately good at, you are as selfish as can be.
And the last, but most assuredly not least, is a series of rhetorical questions: Why can't people just be kind to one another? Why do people let their lives twist them up into cruel little raisins of hate, looking for any opportunity to take it out on someone? Why are people so damned bitter and solipsistic*? -Kysh/Sasya *- And why, oh why, doesn't MacOS recognize 'solipsistic' as a word?

I'm sitting here at work. I am so cold that I can't think of anything but how cold I am.
Why do people make it so cold?
I don't want to be cold. I don't mind being cold for hockey, but I don't like sitting for eight hours in a meat locker.
Why do they make me so cold?
I am so cold I can think of nothing but how cold I am. So, so cold....

Woo! ^^
I got my latest commission back- A pin-up of my primary character* of late, slated to become primary for a very long while as he's basically just me with fur and fits like a second skin. Pelt. Whatever. Anyway, he's me and me's he.
( NSFW foxy! )
My thanks to moodyferret for doing a wonderful job and managing to hit exactly what I was looking for without more to go on than a basic description. ^^

Off to the races..
In six hours I leave for Alameda, where I will be racing on a J-109 from San Francisco to Monterey.
Should be a good race. I've got all my gear packed-- everthing but rations. I'll be incommunicado (Cellphone off) from about 9am until early Saturday morning.
Entering blackout...

Whoops -.-
Crashed my ST on 101 about an hour ago, by the airport, at about 60. :<
The road surface may have been contaminated, or it may have just been the slick oily crap rising up with the light rain we got this morning. Either way, I wasn't braking all that hard but the front washed utterly and completely.
I distinctly yelled "Aw, SHIT". Funny to think that those might have been my last words. :>

Looking for bay area drummer..
Anyone play drums, and live in the bay area?
South bay is a plus. Um, having a kit is a plus, too. ;>
Anyone in the aforementioned area 'interested' in giving it a shot? ;>
Let me know.

I just wrote the most vapid, vacuous, sickeningly sweet theme I've ever written.
I'm calling it my 'Foxies' theme.
Little does it know what's waiting past the next barline.. gulp.
If you're 'really' bored:

(I was originally writing it as a simple finger exercise for Orzel, who's working on learning piano.. but I think I'm gonna use it :)

Wonder if Microsoft's outsourced spellcheck to India..
Office wants to correct my grammar:
"Where is this machine physically located?" is incorrect, according to Microsoft. Instead, I should say: "Where this machine is physically located?"
